Where have you been surprised to hear Riders music?

I was in Starbucks yesterday, taking a break from Side Meat's coffee, when my boy said "Hey Dad, listen! It's you!" And sure enough, there we were, on Starbucks Muzak, singing and yodeling "Back in the Saddle Again." Right in the middle of the incomprehensible indie/alt/modern grooves. Word's gettin' out, I tell ya!--Too Slim

I would love to hear you guys in Starbucks!! There was a guy on the bus a few months back softly whistling the "To Infinity and Beyond" march thing you wrote for the "Toy Story" album. He looked about the right age to have young kids (not an excuse I can use for humming the same tune) who might have the album. I was dying to ask him if he was a closet Riders fan .... but worried about being punched on the nose!!

Just seen you guys on the latest YellaWood commercial. It brought back some good memories of you when you were taping in Nashville at TPAC back in the early 90's. I had the great opportunity to talk with you guys several times back then.

Seeing you guys in Redfield was great, I hope i get to see you again. What I liked about the condert was when the two guys made noises with their mouths, that was just funny and amazing. Keep that up.

Hi! Raymond and I were at a wedding in Little Switzerland NC last Sat. and the DJ ended the night with you all singing Happy Trails. A perfect end to a perfect day! Glad you were a part of it!

My husband and I were surprised to see you in Durango at the Bar D Chuckwagon dinner and show. When we travel we love to go to chuckwagon shows, we both love cowboy music and enjoy the chuckwagon experience. I loved your Saturday morning show and had just seen you in concert in St. Louis. We were so lucky to be in Durango on just the right night. Beautiful setting, beautiful music.

Hi Riders-
I went into our local Hallmark Card Shop (St. Clair Shores, MI) and I saw the latest Toy Story 3 musical kids card. When I opened it I heard it playing Woody's Roundup (I hope it was you guys!!! because it sure sounded like it!) I am just curious to know if you all played a role in Toy Story 3. The card sure didn't give you credit, just listed the songwriter on the back.

Also, I really want to know how you guys learned to yodel (especially Ranger Doug!). Did you go to yodel school?

Love your music- keep up the good work!!

Seefood, Delaware, but it smelled mostly like fried chicken. Can't believe after following your shows around the country for decades, that you just keep getting better and better. What a show tonight! And what constant variety to see for a groupie like me. Can't wait to hear you when you turn 156 years old. Happy 33rd Anniversary. PS Come back to Seefood. Airports galore for accessing it.

In a courtroom of 200 plus people! The lady was charged with falling asleep at an intersection and rolling into it, and she countered that she had her head back, yodeling, and was not asleep. The judge asked her to demonstrate how that would be mistaken for being asleep. She tossed her head up, and let it rip! She belted out verses from several of Ranger's original songs. She was a dead ringer for Woody Paul's voice. The judge let her go on and on and on. When she finally stopped, the courtroom roared with a standing ovation for about two minutes. Smiling, the judged suggested he could expunge the charge if she'd do some community service by occasionally singing those cowboy songs in the county's schools. She said she would because it'd be the cowboy way to make good on a debt for the happiness Riders In The Sky had given her over the years. Lookout, this gal could be the fifth Rider. I thought I was the only Rider fan in my town, but now I'll watch out in traffic.

Love your music and I hope you're coming to Maryland some day. This music is just lots of fun - and, thanks to Toy Story - the grandchildren can appreciate music the cowboy way!

I was just now surprised to hear "Woody's Roundup" on the news--it's today's wakeup music for the crew of the Space Shuttle! If we send out another golden record into space, I'd be hard pressed to think of better musical ambassadors. Keep up the good work.
